Pantheon in the smoke.:
A view of the Pantheon looking from near Place d’Italie. The smoke is from the flares.
Flares:
I think these were the Rail Union (Cheminots). They had flares and also had some sort of big boom-machine: they would make a very loud explosion with it every 100 feet or so.
Liberte:
A puppet from Theatre du soleil representing justice. Notice the blood running down her forehead.
Lycee Lurcat:
A hacked together sign in front of a High School closed for the strike.
Attaque!:
A puppet from Theatre du Solei being attacked by crows. This performance was repeated every 500 meters or so with a sound track, drums, and much attacking-of-the-crows.
Lignards:
An EDF maintenance truck for high-tension wires. These were some impressive machines.
